EXPLAIN Specifying Requirements,Planning Tests, Running Tests,Tracking Defects?




Specifying Requirements: Identify and validate the functional and
performance requirements that need to be tested.

Planning Tests: Plan and confirm which tests need to be performed and how these tests must be run.

 Running Tests: Organize test sets, schedule their execution, perform test
runs, and analyze the results of these runs.

Tracking Defects: Add defects that were detected in the application and
track how repairs are progressing.


1)Click the Requirements button on the sidebar. The Requirements module
enables you to specify your testing requirements. This includes defining
what you are testing, defining requirement topics and items, and analyzing
the requirements.
2)Click the Test Plan button on the sidebar. The Test Plan module enables you
to develop a test plan based on your testing requirements. This includes
defining goals and strategies, dividing your plan into categories, developing
tests, automating tests where beneficial, and analyzing the plan.
3)Click the Test Lab button on the sidebar. The Test Lab module enables you
to run tests on your application and analyze the results.
4)Click the Defects button on the sidebar. The Defects module enables you to
add defects, determine repair priorities, repair open defects, and analyze the
data.
5)Click the Business Components button on the sidebar. The Business
Process Testing module enables subject matter experts to drive the
quality optimization process. For more information, refer to the Mercury

6)Click the Dashboard button on the sidebar. The Quality Center
Dashboard enables IT teams to track application readiness in real-time
and manage project risk. For more information, refer to the Mercury
Quality Center Dashboard documentation set.
